HENRY MOORE BIBLIOGRAPHY. 5 Volumes.

The Henry Moore Foundation, 1992.

Hardcover. Fine / No dustjacket as issued. Item #8993

Quarto. Five volumes. "Moore was an avid collector of books on art and from the 1920s onwards took a keen interest in publications that made mention of his own work. In 1976 he commissioned Alexander Davis to assemble and catalogue all the known references to his art, the end result being the immense Henry Moore Bibliography published between 1992 and 1995. This not only brought together publications from various locations on the Perry Green estate, but was the impetus to collect and house - as far as possible - everything published on the artist worldwide. This remains the rationale today, with weekly acquisitions arriving from a wide range of sources." I: Introduction, Abbreviations, 1898-1970 Entries 00001-05295; II: 1971-1986 Entries 05296-10711; III: Chronology, Henry Moore and his Critics, Citations and Sources, Index 1898-1986, Concordance; IV: Supplement 1898-1986, 1986-1991 Including Obituary Notices Entries 10712-14850; V: Monographs 1934-1993, Henry Moore's Library, Index 1898-1991, Concordance.
