Limited edition of 750 copies. Quarto. 10.5 x 9". Twelve facsimile letters issued as a keepsake by The Book Club of California. Housed in folding chemise and slipcase. Each keepsake consists of a folder, a facsimile letter, and introductory notes by various scholars. The keepsakes were each designed and printed by a different California private press. The facsimile letters were lithographed by the Stanford University Press, being exact and skillful reproductions of the originals. A few folders have lightly bumped corners, number four has a light crease. Slipcase is lightly faded on spine.
