No text, except for plate deescriptions below each photo. (In French) These volumes were the property of MGM Studios and every plate is stamped, "Return to Property Department, Metro Goldwyn Mayer," fortunately, mostly in the top margin. 7 volumes are titled as follows: 1: 1re Serie- Pl 1 a 112; 2. Les Sièges des Palais et Musées Nationaux et Collections Celebres, Deuxieme Serie, pl. 113 a 272; 3: Sieges Petits Meubles de Salons, Anciens ou imites de l'ancien, en bois sculpte- Styles Loius XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, 3e Serie; 4: Les Sièges des Palais et Musées Nationaux et Collections Celebres, 4e Serie; 5: Sieges Petits Meubles Anciens, des XVIIe; XVIIIe, Siecles et Empire; 6: Sieges Anciens, Lits, etc, ou Copies De L'Ancien- Serie 6; 7: Sieges Anciens ou Copies De L'Ancien- 7e Serie, Part 1& 2 (together). Very solid set, some light rubbing to edges. Evidence of library numbers, removed from spines, but no other x-libris markings. Endpapers toned. Quite the thorough reference work for the set designer wanting accuracy.
