Lg. octavo. 290pp. INSCRIBED BY GENTHE, " For Ed and Helen Freeman Corle, with affectionate greetings and best wishes from a new and old friend, Hollywood, February 3, 1937," with a one page HAND-WRITTEN LETTER to Helen, suggesting that they get together in New York, on Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel stationary in original envelope. Book is illustrated from Genthe's photographs including early San Francisco, Chinatown, New York, socialites, film stars, etc. Red cloth boards, with black spine. Spine label faded from red to green; head and tail of spine rubbed. Endpapers are toned with gutters browned.
